David Lee Tong is one of the many photographers i admire. and lucky for beginners like me, he has a site with tons and tons of articles and tutorials about photography. i frequent his site just to read and brush up some of the skills he talks about.

and with this i present to you my first photoshoot (although its kinda like a test shoot for me) series with the title SMOOTH/ROUGH. its a very basic subject matter but one that is challenging for me. the simplicity of looking for contrasting textures tends to train your eye to look for things that is very extraordinary in a very ordinary place. i really liked this assignment and i will try to make more of it soon.
